Foreign TradeAs a result of the globalization of the world economy, rapid adaptation of domestic economies to each other and our country's efforts of convergence with the European Union, the importance and vitality of the Foreign Trade programme is at a constant rise. The necessity for the people who work in the field of customs and foreign trade to have the knowledge of regulations as a result of the new adjustment law, obligation to have a university degree, increase in the complexity of foreign economic and political relations have made Foreign Trade and Customs Management more appealing. The aim of the Foreign Trade programme is to train the intermediate manpower to work on foreign trade and customs legislation. Graduates can work in the customs of the Ministry of Finance and Customs, in the import and export offices of private sector or they can work as a freelance customs broker.In the first year of our program; Economics, Business, Law, General Information on Customs, Basic Mathematics, Business Law, Computer, Turkey Customs Organization, General Accounting, Turkish Economy; in the second year, International Economy, Container Systems and Management, Turkish Tax System, Economic Crimes and Criminal Law, Import Export Procedures, Customs Law and Regulations, Global Logistics, Warehouse Management Systems, Free Zone and Port Management, Customs Tariff Schedules, Prevention of Smuggling and Monitoring, Total Quality Management, Customs Information Technologies, International Shipping and Insurance courses are taught and applied.Students are required to complete at least 30 working days of internship to graduate. They can do their internships at customs offices and customs offices.Graduates are entitled to take the title “Foreign Trade-Customs Business Professional". Professional staff can complete their internship and work as customs consultant, expert in import and export offices and as civil servant in public institutions.The medium of instruction is Turkish.
