The aim of the Foreign Trade programme is to train the intermediate manpower to work on foreign trade and customs legislation. To this end, the aim of our Programme is provide education on:

  • How to carry out international trade in sectoral, regional and local scale by dealing it nationally and internationally.
  • How to be competent in customs legislation issues.
  • How to analyze the markets.
  • How to obtain finance for foreign trade.
  • Understanding the importance of following the legislation of the profession.
  • Grasping the features of enterprises which operate in business life and foreign trade.
  • How to be able to distinguish the documents used in business life.
  • How to know the basic concepts of economics and stock market.
  • How to express the importance of foreign trade for the economy of the country and enterprises.
  • How to find a customer.
  • How to choose a target market in foreign trade.
  • How to enhance the knowledge about foreign trade management.

Those who completed the foreign trade program can work in organizations affiliated to the Ministry of Customs and Trade, chambers of commerce and industry, banks and financial institutions (especially foreign exchange departments), foreign trade departments of private companies dealing with export and / or import, insurance, customs and foreign trade consultancy institutions and transportation companies. Moreover, if they are successful in the exams, they may obtain a B card and work under the title of Assistant Customs Consultant, and then become a Customs Consultant. Graduates can work in private foreign trade companies and public institutions and organizations, as well as establish their own businesses and engage in commercial activities to increase the export potential of our country. Students with an entrepreneurial spirit can also manage their own business successfully.
