Management and Organisation

Management and organisation has become more and more important both in Turkey and around the world as required by globalisation and the EU accession process. The Department of Management and Organisation was founded to create and establish organisations in order to reach the goals together by using the resources effectively, efficiently, economically, and rationally.

The main goal of the Department of Management and Organisation is to meet the public and private sectors’ need for qualified personnel by educating prospective managers who have extensive knowledge about the basic principles, strategies and techniques of the modern science of management, can think analytically, solve problems, and use their decision-making skills to make decisions, and respect human rights, observe ethical rules and values, produce solutions, and act creatively and constructively. Graduates of this Department work in every management position required ranging from general and personnel management to research and development units chiefly in public sector followed by the private sector with a day-by-day growing need. Graduates of this associate degree programme can transfer to 4-year degree programmes once they have passed the Vertical Transfer Examination (DGS) conducted by the Centre for Assessment, Selection and Placement (ÖSYM).
