Programme's Message

This Programme aims to equip the students with the modern knowledge and skills required by business management and middle management as a universal science. Business Management Programme admits students graduating from the following departments in vocational and technical upper-secondary education institutions: Banking, Computed Accounting, Stack Exchange Services, Maritime and Port Management, Foreign Trade, Real Estate Brokerage, General Services (railways), Business Management, Management (Railways), Accounting, Sales Management and Advertising, Insurance, and Facility Management departments of Business High Schools, as well as students having graduated from Business High Schools when they had not been divided into departments yet.

Graduates of the Business Management Programme can work in positions to help the public administration in managing and administrating, or they can set up and run their own businesses. A business manager is an individual who undertakes a role to help the management to manage the resources, assets, time, operations, and workforce in a business, or assumes the role of manager in their own business. Accordingly, graduates of this Programme will be able to:

  • Comprehend the basic principles of business management.
  • Realise the importance of the modern technologies in the field of business management.
  • Explain the functions of management.
  • Realise the responsibilities of the semi-skilled professionals as assistant managers or intermediate managers in businesses.
  • Explain the characteristics of the businesses dealing in the commercial sector.
  • Explain the importance of research, development and execution as an individual or in a team in their field.
  • Realise their legal responsibilities as business managers.
  • Realise the importance of keeping abreast with the legislation concerning their field and profession.
  • Recognise most documents used in commerce.
  • Recognise the basic concepts relating to economy and stack exchange.
  • Explain the importance of foreign trade for the national economy and the businesses.
  • Explain the importance of professional ethics in the business life.

The medium of instruction at this Programme is Turkish, and the English Preparatory Programme is optional.
