Vocational Schools

Educational Objectives

The main aim of the Programme is to educate prospective Occupational Health and Safety Technologists who will rank below an engineer in the engineering department of an institution/organisation, or be in charge of all the occupational safety services in institutions which do not require Occupational Safety Specialist. In accordance with the “Act on Occupational Health and Safety”, graduates of the Programme may become entitled to receive the certificate ‘‘Occupational Safety Specialist’’, and work as a ‘‘Occupational Safety Specialist’’, whom all the industrial and service facilities have to employ. The number of technical employees educated in this field does not meet the needs in the field. Thus, our graduates who will have the abilities to offer and organise these services have considerable job opportunities.

Through the theoretical and applied education offered in the Programme, we aim to educate prospective “Occupational Safety Technologists” who will assist the employers and managers to:

Determine risks of work accidents and occupational diseases,

Minimise these risks,

Ensure a healthy and safe working environment,

Eliminate the hazards permanently,

Work efficiently with full concentration, and minimise legal, conscientious, and financial responsibilities resulted from any accident, and improve the profitability of a business institution.
