Educational Objectives

This Programme aims to educate prospective health professionals who can produce supportive devices (orthoses) to make the life easier for the patients with musculoskeletal disorders originating from various reasons, the prostheses patients losing a part or all of their limbs need, ocular prostheses, and epitheses (otic, nasal, and facial prostheses).

Graduates of the Programme of Orthopaedic Prosthetics and Orthotics can work in hospitals with Prosthetics – Orthotics Units, private workshops, and firms selling medical devices and materials, or they can start their own businesses.

Graduates can also take the Vertical Transfer Test to transfer to an undergraduate programme. The undergraduate programmes available for vertical transfer for graduates of Orthopaedic Prosthetics and Orthotics are Biomedical Engineering, Physiotherapy, and Rehabilitation.
